The Account Executive is responsible for client relationship (of assigned accounts), project management and coordination of team tasks and deliverables as directed. The Account Executive reports directly to the Account Director, Client Experience.  This position will be based in Columbus, Ohio; the level of the role may be adjusted based on the experience of the final candidate.  

Key functions and accountabilities for the role include: 

Account Management

  • Manage and build an ongoing relationship with client, providing value as a source of information relative to their digital strategy, brand objectives and business needs
  • Ongoing management of agreed upon services
  • Partners consistently with Program Manager and CE Lead to manage changes to project parameters that may affect timing, cost or workload
  • Continuously works to stay current with industry and client information and expand knowledge of digital marketing 
  • Review client digital performance, collaborate with assign team members to monitor performance of account
  • Prepare agenda and presentation for client meetings and review findings with client (with support from team)
  • Manage budgetary needs of the client, review monthly invoices and manage profitability of accounts  in partnership with Program Manager and CE Lead

Project Management and Coordination

  • Management and coordination of team tasks/deliverables as directed by Account Director
  • Taking effective notes from meetings capturing all key information, decisions and action items and communicate to client
  • Relays client-requested changes to internal stakeholders, serving as point of contact gathering additional feedback or guidance from client 
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, effectively executing multiple project streams in parallel
  • Ensures all deliverables meet Adept standards for quality and excellence 
  • Ability to work with within a multi-functional team, collaborating with internal stakeholders with a focus on proactive problem solving 
  • Prepare presentations for clients

Support the CE Lead

  • Support the CE lead on assigned accounts with accurate, timely, detail-oriented work
  • Coordinate task assignments, project management via Mavenlink and ensure accuracy of data and adherence to process
  • Complete all support activities as assigned by the CE lead
  • Be secondary point of contact for key accounts managed by CE lead and ensure timely client response as needed
  • Assists CE lead in writing project scopes and orchestrating pre-kickoff meetings and initiation of new client requests 



  • A minimum of 3-5 years of agency experience
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent oral and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas, negotiate and problem solve
  • Self-starter with desire for personal and career advancement
